Meet Dr. Masood Mahmood, M.D.

PROFILE

Dr. Masood Mahmood completed his medical education at Rawalpindi Medical University in Pakistan in 2012. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Michigan in 2018. Following residency, he practiced as an internist before pursuing a fellowship in Nephrology at Olive View–UCLA Medical Center. He later served as an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
In 2023, Dr. Mahmood joined Houston Nephrology Group, P.A. His clinical interests include electrolyte disorders, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, and kidney transplantation, with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine.
Dr. Mahmood’s treatment philosophy is rooted in patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and compassionate communication. He is committed to empowering patients through education, shared decision-making, and holistic support—addressing not just the illness, but the individual. He strives to build long-term, trusting relationships grounded in respect and mutual understanding.
